About Foster Rabbits
Welcome! Here at Lilli's Lops, we are dedicated to the well-being and care of rabbits. We are excited to offer our community the opportunity to foster rabbits in need of loving homes. We're committed to responsible breeding practices that ensure the well-being of our rabbits. One of our key initiatives is offering fostering opportunities for rabbits in between breeding seasons. This program not only provides a nurturing environment for our rabbits during their off-breeding periods, but also supports the community by connecting foster families with these gentle animals.
Fostering a rabbit is a rewarding experience that allows you to care for a rabbit temporarily while providing essential support during their off-season. Our foster program ensures that rabbits receive the care and attention they need, maintaining their health and happiness. By fostering, you help us manage our breeding cycles efficiently and contribute to the overall welfare of our rabbits.
We do not charge foster homes for their bunny. We do ask that the foster home provides an adequate housing situation, and that they will purchase all necessary equipment and feed items. We are not especially strict on housing, so please do not feel overwhelmed if you do not own an elaborate bunny set-up! We understand! Rabbits may be housed outdoors. We ask that foster homes purchase our recommended feeds, which we are flexible with, depending on what feed options are near you!
Necessary items:
Cage, water bowl, feed bowl, hay, pellets, bedding, and a readiness for bunny cuddles!
We encourage interested individuals to reach out to learn more about fostering rabbits! We would love to get in touch with you!
Meet Lee
Meet Lee! She is a 3.5 year old Mini Plush Lop Doe, a gorgeous girl, with an incredibly sweet personality! Her temperament is very endearing, and we certainly enjoy her laid-back nature. She is one of our best mamas, as she adores caring for her litters, who inherit her gentle disposition. She has been exposed to people, dogs, cats, and chickens, and acclimates very quickly to new environments.
As Lee is getting older, we are hoping to begin casually pursuing her retirement as a frequent mama. Her fostering schedule could be quite flexible, and we would pertain to your interest and availability in fostering. Feel welcome to reach out to us with any questions, we would be happy to help!

Meet Grace
Meet Grace! Grace is a kit from our very first litter. She is very special to our rabbitry, and we enjoy her mild temperament. She is the kind of mama who will be happy to foster other does' kits, which goes to show how laid-back and calm she is. She would do very well with people of all sizes and ages, especially with children. She has been exposed to children, babies, dogs, cats, chickens, and is not easily spooked. She is our go-to when we have young kids around, and she adores the attention!

Meet Callum
Meet Callum! Callum is a two-year-old boy who we bought in last year! He has a very nice color and build, and has been a valuable asset to our breeding program! He does have a more excitable personality, and we would not trust him around children, or inexperienced bunny owners. He is not regularly aggressive, but he does become very excited when around female bunnies. Due to his outgoing personality, he is a very fun and adventurous boy, who would thrive off of regular human attention. In order to support Callum's temperament, we would recommend he goes to a home without other rabbits. He has been exposed to people, dogs, cats, chickens, and is not easily spooked.
We hope to have Callum sire a couple of litters throughout this summer, and we would pertain to your interest and availability for when those breeding periods might be. Feel welcome to reach out to us with any questions, we would be happy to help!

Meet Dale
Meet Dale! Born August 19th, he is currently our youngest available foster bunny. Dale is a lovely boy with a very sweet disposition. He could be very versatile, and would acclimate to a variety of situations. Due to his age and our family's unusually busy winter, he has not received much exposure to young children, but he has a very mild temperament, and we have found no reason to believe he would not thrive in a setting with children! He is not easily spooked, and has been exposed to people, dogs, cats, and chickens.
We hope to have Dale sire a couple of litters throughout this summer, and we would pertain to your interest and availability for when those breeding periods might be. Feel welcome to reach out to us with any questions, we would be happy to help!

Foster a Kit
We are continually breeding in new kits for our breeding programs. If you are interested in providing a foster home for a younger rabbit (7 weeks and older), we can certainly provide you with this opportunity. Please contact us to hear what options may be available at his time! Thank you!
Foster a Mama & Litter
Interested in experiencing kits? For certain foster homes and situations, we offer the opportunity to experience a pregnant doe and her litter. While this offer does not only pertain to experienced bunny-owners, we would expect interested foster homes to have some previous animal experience, and a willingness to learn.
In order to insure the health and safety of our mamas and kits, we require a foster home who will prioritize and commit to this opportunity! If this sounds like something you are interested in providing, we would love to get in touch with you!
